The fundraising efforts of the Brightlingsea Hospice Support Group in 2025 have resulted in a cheque for £23,145 being handed over to St Helena Hospice.

The group organises the town’s annual Open Gardens weekend, which generates the bulk of its fundraising, runs stalls at various town events, and hosts other events including a golf day. The 2025 total was just over the amount raised in 2024.

The group will have an information stand at the Health and Wellbeing Day in the Community Centre on March  7. Open Gardens 2026 will take place over the weekend of June 13 & 14.
