The date of a consultation event to be held in Brightlingsea about the Tendring District Local Plan has been announced.

The Parish Hall in Victoria Place will be the venue for the event, which will give residents the chance to learn more about the plans aimed at eventually fixing the future housing allocations for the district.

Under the proposals, up to 90 new houses and 60 assisted living units could be built in the town by 2043. The potential locations are show below.

At the event, from 3-7pm on Thursday, September 24, planning officers will be on hand, along with help to submit comments to the consultation, which closes on October 19. To take part in the consultation go to https://tendringdc.oc2.uk/document/72.
