An art exhibition featuring paintings made from leftover and re-used materials is running in Brightlingsea library throughout May.

Brightlingsea-based artist Becky Jackson, who specialises in portraying seascapes and landscapes, has re-used materials to create 18 different pieces for the Something from Nothing exhibition.

Becky said: “All of these paintings are made from leftover paint from my art classes in Brightlingsea so nothing goes to waste. I love the challenge of using limited colours and turning them into something beautiful, often inspired by the amazing summer skies we’re lucky to see here. Reusing, painting and sky-gazing are some of my favourite things and I have had fun combining all three for this exhibition.”

All of the artwork is for sale. For more details on Becky’s work see her Facebook page: @beachscapes or email mail: [email protected]
