Brightlingsea musicians are combining their talents in a special concert to mark the 200th anniversary of the RNLI and raise funds for the lifeboats.
“Sing to Save Lives” will feature Women in Harmony, the Motley Crew and several brand-new songs from the Tiles Along The Wall Project, a musical story that has been written by Carl Simpson and Richard Spalding about the story behind the tiles that line the walls of All Saints’ Church commemorating local people lost at sea.
The combined choir will be performing songs that have been written or specially arranged as part of the Choir Community/RNLI ‘Sing to Save Lives’ initiative to celebrate the bicentenary.
The concert takes place in St James’ church on Sunday July 7 at 5.30pm, with tickets – £10 for adults, £5 for children aged 5-15 and under-fives free – available from Little Boat Gifts or via this link.
