Hosting the town’s popular open gardens weekend helped Brightlingsea Hospice Support Group raise £23,000 for St Helena Hospice last year.

The volunteers, who also organised a golf day, prosecco afternoon tea and Christmas fayre, have thanks the town’s residents for their support and donations.

Support Group members recently visited the Hospice offices in Colchester, where chair Pam Willett and handed over a cheque to Hospice fundraiser James Martin-Whymark, who was full of praise for the work of the Brightlingsea group.

Open Gardens weekend 2025 will be on June 21 and 22.
