Brightlingsea’s coastal rowers will be leaving their boats behind when they hold a marathon rowing event to raise funds for local stroke survivors.

The Stroke 4 Stroke event Sunday, June 28, will see rowers from the Brightlingsea Coastal Rowing Club taking to rowing machines for a six-hour sponsored row in aid of Brightlingsea Stroke Support Services (BSSS).

Running from 10-4pm at the Colne Yacht Club, the event will feature the chance to sponsor rowers, guess the distance rowed and have a go on a machine. There’ll also be music, a barbecue, and Pimms bar
