Brightlingsea Carnival set to be a scorcher!

Unicylists at the 2025 carnival

The weather looks to be set fair for Brightlingsea Carnival on Saturday, June 20.

As usual, the free event takes place on the Bayard Recreation Ground off Regent Road and features a fun fair, arena displays, stalls and live music – all in aid of Brightlingsea Hdedgehog Highways Rescue.

Starting and finishing from Bellfield Close, the procession – including a pipe band and majorettes – leaves around noon and will circle the town via Red Barn Road, Chapel Road, Hurst Green, High Street, Victoria Place, Ladysmith Avenue, Seaview Road and Red Barn Road. There will be some temporary road closures of up to 30 minutes at junctions to ensure the safety of participants.
