The Red Arrows - due to be seen over Clacton in August

The Red Arrows and Battle of Britain Memorial Flight will fly over Clacton during the town’s airshow this August.

The special flypast is being organised to mark Clacton’s 150th anniversary and with few airshows taking place this year, will give aviation enthusiasts one of their few chances to see the iconic aircraft in action. World-famous, the RAF Force Aerobatic Team the Red Arrows team is made up of nine fast jets, while the Memorial Flight  will include a Lancaster, Spitfire and Hurricane.

Those coming to watch the flights on August 26 & 27 will be able to spread right along Clacton’s long coastline  and the event will be subject to whatever Covid-19 restrictions are in force at the time. More details will be released closer to the event.
