The search is on for Max, Brightlingsea’s most famous feline, who’s been missing for nearly four weeks.

Max is well-known for his friendly nature and, while this isn’t the first time he’s disappeared – he was found in Luton and Ipswich on previous occasions – his latest absence is worrying owner Georgie Dunt.

Favourite haunts include Brightlingsea promenade – and the inside of beach huts – or around and inside All Saints’ Church. He’s also been known to curl up in cars.
