Two days of food, drink, music and entertainment are promised over the weekend of August 23-24 when the Brightlingsea Food and Drink Festival returns for it’s eighth outing on Promenade Way.

Featuring over 70 vendors, the festival will be the place to find an eclectic range of food and beverages to sample or take home, many from local artisan producers.  Local traders and artists will be displaying their wares, while local charities have been given free stalls to promote their work.

This year the show will feature more children’s entertainment than ever, with storytelling, magic shows, nature-based play and forest school activities, and a mini-golf course. On both days, there’ll be live music from local musicians and bands.

The show is open from 11am on both days, closing at 7pm on the Saturday and 5pm on the Sunday. Admission is £4 for adults, with accompanied children going free. Dogs on leads are welcome. On Friday, August 22, there’ll be a taster event from 5-11pm, with live music and some stalls and entertainment.
