Don’t miss the Brightlingsea Town Show

Judging dogs at the Brightlingsea Town Show

Brightlingsea Community Centre will be a busy place on Bank Holiday Monday as it plays host to the 111th annual Town Show.

Alongside stalls and children’s activities, the show will feature entries in a host of classes, including handicrafts, fruit and vegetables, floral art, cookery and a “People’s Choice” photography competition.

Back for another year is the popular Companion Dog Show, with 14 classes for dogs of all ages and types. Judging starts at 12.30pm.

In the Lozenge, adjacent to the centre’s car park, there’ll be a nature trail with a free-to-enter Spotter competition for children. Jointly organised by the British Naturalists’ Association and the Cinque Port Liberty of Brightlingsea, there’ll be experts on hand to point out some of the rare flora and fauna to be found there.

Schedules and entry forms for this years show are available from Spirals, Little Boat Gifts, Scarlett’s wool and craft shop and the Parish Hall.  They can also be downloaded from Brightlingseatownshow.org.uk.
