Brightlingsea’s 2022 Christmas market – held in conjunction with the town’s late night shopping event – raised £535 for local charities.
The money raised from stall fees and donations at the Victoria Gardens event was shared amongst the Deputy’s Gift Fund for Christmas Day lunches, the Autumn Centre, Brightlingsea Food Bank, the RNLI local branch, and the Carnival Association – whose assistance by was of allowing the market to use its public liability insurance was very gratefully received.
Returning traders and the six new stall holders were said to have had a good response and are looking forward to the next Christmas market on December 1, 2023.
