Waste and recycling collections days will change for Brightlingsea residents over the Christmas and New Year holiday period.

There’ll be no collections on the three bank holidays and collections week commencing January 2nd will be two days later, with Friday 6th collections taking place on Monday 9th.

For week beginning Monday 9th collections will be a day later than usual, with Friday collections taking place on Saturday 14th. Collections resume as normal from Monday, 16 January.

For the first black bin collection after Christmas householders can put out an extra two black bags of side waste.
