Top speakers lined up for International Women’s Day event in Brightlingsea

Speakers on topics from caving to corporate communications will be sharing their experiences and knowledge at an International Women’s Day event being held in Brightlingsea on March 8.

Starting at 9am and running until 3.45pm in the Colne Yacht Club, the free event will feature half-hour sessions from nine speakers including the Deputy Lieutenant of Essex, Lorna Rolfe, septuagenarian caver Judith Plowman, corporate communicator Molly Richardson and Camino trail walker Rebecca Mooney.

Brightlingea Harbour apprentice Isobel Major will tell of her experiences, with contributions from local designer Victoria Walsh, All Saints’ fundraiser Elizabeth Foss-Smith, the Colne Yacht Club’s Carol Eldridge and Fay Debrick and Harriet Frost from John Fowlers solicitors.

The event will also feature stalls from local businesses and charities, with refreshments available all day. For more information, see the Colne Yacht Club’s website.
