Runners and riders are warming up for the Brightlingsea Pram Race, which takes to the town’s streets on Saturday, August 15.

Held to raise funds for the town’s Late Night Shopping evening in December, the event starts at 3pm and features a full grid of two-person teams – many in fancy dress.

Starting at the Rosebud on Hurst Green, the course takes in pubs along the High Street and Victoria Place, with the finish by the Railway Tavern. Some temporary road closures will be in place.
