A fish and chip supper event, organised by the Brightlingsea and District RNLI and attended by around 70 people, raised £1,115.25 for the lifeboat charity.

The event, in the YMCA on Saturday night (October 15) featured a concert by local shanty group The Motley Crew, seen here singing on the sailing barge Victor during the Harwich International Shanty Festival.

The Motley Crew has always supported the RNLI and has raised over £25,000 since it was formed over 20 years ago.
