A new Sea Cadet division is to be formed in Brightlingsea in the new year.

The unit will have space for eight cadets, aged between 12 and 18, who can learn sailing and navigation skills, develop teamwork and leadership skills, and get to travel and experience life at sea. No prior experience is needed.

Meetings will be held in the Royal British Legion in Sydney Street.
