The full lineup of acts has been confirmed for the Brightlingsea Free Music Festival 2021, which takes place over the weekend of August 7 & 8.

The festival – one of the town’s most popular events – is back on Hurst Green after being cancelled last year because of the pandemic. Running from noon to 8pm on Saturday and noon to  7.30pm on Sunday, the festival features 16 acts, several from Brightlingsea.

Topping the bill on Saturday are Aaron & Grace Bond, the Brightlingsea-based husband-and-wife duo who make up When Rivers Meet. During lockdown, the couple have built up a strong following on social media, and earlier this year took the UK Blues award for most inspirational online performance of the year, as well as being judged the emerging blues artists of the year, the bets blues band and having made the blues album of the year – We Fly Free, released in November 2020.

On Saturday, visitors will also be able to get a Covid-19 vaccination in the Vaccination Bus.
