A Brightlingsea-based health and wellbeing business has been listed as a finalist in the annual Tendring4Growth awards.
Health Talks, which runs a variety of training courses and projects primarily for the health and education sectors, has been nominated for the Health and Wellbeing Champion category of the Tendring District Council-run awards.
“We are humbled to have been recognised for our commitment to health and wellbeing,” said director Alix Sheppard, well-known in the town as one of the founders of Brightlingsea WinterFest.
The awards ceremony, in Clacton’s Princes Theatre on October 2, will come at the end of Business Fortnight – a series of events designed to help local businesses “spark ideas, build connections, and unlock opportunities”.
Sessions include:
- Monday 22 September, 10am – Working with Tendring District Council at Clacton Town Hall.
- Tuesday 23 September, 6pm – The AI Effect: Creativity, Culture and Tourism Reimagined at the Columbine Centre in Walton.
- Wednesday 24 September, 10am – Writing Successful Bids and Grant Applications at Weeley Village Hall.
- Thursday 25 September, 10.30am – Tendring Jobs and Skills Fair at the Princes Theatre in Clacton.
- Tuesday 30 September, 1.30pm – Supporting Start-ups in Tendring takes place at East Coast 5, Old Pier Street, Walton.
- Tuesday 30 September, 6pm – From Idea to Impact: Supporting Young Businesspeople at McGrigor Hall in Frinton.
- Wednesday 1 October, 6pm – Building Tomorrow’s Town Centres will be hosted at Air Rescue UK, Mariners Way, Harwich.
