Five hundred books are to be given away to children in local primary schools thanks to a donation from John Fowlers Solicitors, which has an office in Brightlingsea.

The law firm is a member of The Palmer and Partners 500 Club, a Colchester-based not-for-profit organisation supported individuals and businesses which makes monthly donations of £500 or more  – totalling more than £65,000 in the last six years – to local charities, good causes and people in need. Brightlingsea Food Bank has been a recipient in the past.

Now the donation from John Fowlers is to be used to provide Lego Christmas books to schools nominated by members of the public. Nominations can be made via the club’s Facebook page or LinkedIn and the books will given away by Christmas.
