First Responders benefit from Deputy’s fundraising

Brightlingsea Community First Responders have new kit bags thanks to fundraising by Mark Wilby during his year as the Deputy of the Cinque Port Liberty of Brightlingsea.

A total of £1,000 was raised by the Deputy, who picked the local medics as one of his chosen charities during his year in office, which ended on December 5.

Around half of the money was spent on two new kit bags, with the remainder added to previous donations from the Liberty to purchase a defibrillator and cabinet which has been installed at the Oaklands Care Home on Church Road.
