The chief executive of the trust that runs Brightlingsea’s Colne Community School is to retire after six years in the job.
Lyn Wright is leaving the multi-academy Sigma Trust which runs 12 primary and secondary schools in Colchester, Clacton, Brightlingsea and Harwich.
Having spent more than 40 years in education, she said: “I’m leaving with our schools in a healthy position with a good close working relationship with their stakeholders and communities.”

The new CEO of the trust will be Fiona Pierson, who moves from her role as executive headteacher of trust schools Paxman Academy and St Helena School.
