A cannabis farm in a former hotel in Brightlingsea was raided by Essex Police on the morning of Wednesday, June 18.
The Clacton Neighbourhood Policing Team discovered between 750 to 1,000 cannabis plants in several rooms within the former Heidi Hotel on Church Road after executing a warrant. Images released by the police show rooms restooned with wires and fitted with large lights and extraction units.
Police smashed the front door of the building, latterly used as a home for adults with learning difficulties. An adult male found at the premises was arrested and is currently in police custody.
