A bus hit a telegraph pole in Station Road, Brightlingsea, this morning (May 9) at around 8am, bringing down cables and causing disruption to traffic.

The front of the bus was badly damaged and glass from broken windows was strewn over the road. No other vehicles were involved and there were no reports of any injuries, though the driver was reported to have been shocked by the incident.
