Brightlingsea Foodbank thanks town for its generosity

Brightlingsea Foodbank has thanked generous townsfolk and businesses for their support during 2025.

Thanks to their generosity, the Foodbank was able to hand out 417 food parcels, helping 237 children and 564 adults who were in crisis.

High Street businesses also stepped up, notably The Bakery, which has supplied bread, rolls and cakes every week since the Covid crisis. Also, Smiths Butchers and Bumbles Greengrocers accept Foodbank vouchers so that clients can receive fresh food.

“Without your help we could not have achieved this. If possible, please continue your kind help so that we may continue to offer help to those people in our community that are in crisis or need,” a spokeswoman for the Foodbank said.

The Foodbank is open in the Parish Hall, Victoria Place every Wednesday between 10am. and 12.30pm and can be contacted by phone on 07881 703673 or 001206 303902, or via email.
