The Brightlingsea Luncheon Club says it has been overwhelmed by the number of requests for funds following its recent request for local organisations to send in applications.

The organisation says it will try to provide money to as many applications as possible and will make its decisions at its forthcoming AGM.

No further applications will be taken for this financial year.
