A design developed by Brightlingsea artist Olivia Reilly has been chosen for Christmas cards that will be raising money to help terminally-ill children.
Olivia’s design was chosen by the Palmer and Partners 500 Club, a not for profit foundation helping communities in Essex and Suffolk.
The charity sent Olivia – who runs her own design business and the Little Boat Gifts shop with husband Pete – a background painted by 14-year-old Noah, who has has hydrocephalus, epilepsy and cerebral palsy.
During lockdown, Noah’s dad sent his backgrounds to various artist to paint on, leading to him gaining the nickname ‘Background Bob’.
Said Olivia: “I was so surprised to be chosen for this project and couldn’t believe it when my background was delivered, it was amazing. So many amazing artists have worked with Noah, and I am honoured to join that list.”
All proceeds from sales of the cards will go to Essex-based charity Wipe Away Those Tears. They’re on sale at Little Boat Gifts for £1.99 each or £5.99 for a pack of five, and direct from https://www.palmerpartners.com/500-club-christmas-card.
