Free training on mental health will be on offer in Brightlingsea, thanks to the Mid and North East Essex Mind charity.
Its Mental Health Toolkit has been developed by Suffolk Mind to help people manage their own or others’ mental wellbeing. The series of in-person and online training courses will be free of charge, thanks to the support of North East Essex Health and Wellbeing Alliance.
The initial half day workshop – to be held in the Parish Hall on at 9am on February 20 – will give attendees the chance to look at their mental health differently and see if the course is right for them. Courses will also be held in Clacton and Harwich on other dates.
According to the charity, the training programme has gained some impressive results with 98% of people who’ve undertaken the course finding it worthwhile, 97% planning to support themselves with their mental health after training, and 92% aimint to share their new skills with team members at work.
