Dredging works are to take place in Brightlingsea harbour and marina from the end of this week.
While the work – which is expected to be completed by April 1 – is taking place, the marina will be closed with no access permitted by water or on foot.
Two vessels operated by Dutch firm Van Oord will be carrying out the work – the water injection dredger Baldr and support vessel Harvik – around the marina entrance, mooring pontoons and the entrance to Brightlingsea Creek.
While the work – which is expected to be completed by April 1 – is taking place, the marina will be closed with no access permitted by water or on foot. Dredging operations will be conducted during ebb tides only and will take place day and night.
