Plans for a new care home on the site of Well House in Chestnut Way, Brightlingsea have now been submitted to Tendring District Council – but there are concerns that some residents haven’t been officially informed.
A nearby resident called to say that others who may be affected by the development hadn’t been notified of the date – understood to be March 4 – by which comments can be made to the council’s planning department. The plans submitted by Westcliff-based Essex County Care can be seen on the council’s website here – and comments can be made online here. A login is required.
After being told of the resident’s concern, Brightlingsea district councillor Graham Steady contacted TDC’s planning department as was told that 19 letters were sent out to properties which abut the site on the 11th February 11, notice was placed in the Gazette on February 14, and a site notice was put up on February 16.
