Nearly 2,300 companies across the Tendring have been given over £56m in grants since March 2020 from one of more of the nine government Covid support schemes administered by Tendring District Council.

The council has also prevented more than £800,000 going to businesses that were either ineligible or were making fraudulent claims, and has taken back nearly £100,000 in payments which were incorrectly claimed.
