A joint fundraising concert for the Friends of All Saints’ Church featuring Brightlingsea shanty group The Motley Crew and the all-women Chorus Iceni will take place in June.
The Motley Crew and have been singing shanties and sea songs at a wide variety of events and festivals for over 25 years and have raised over £50,000 for charities including the RNLI. Currently 12 strong, they’ll also be seen performing at this year’s Brightlingsea Free Music Festival.
Chorus Iceni, pictured below, is 30-strong all-female choir named after warrior women. Specialising in four-part close harmony and barbershop, all unaccompanied, its repertoire ranges from Adele to Sinatra and everything in between.
