Outline planning permission has been granted for three self-build homes to be built on a brownfield plot off Samsons Road, Brightlingsea.
Draft plans submitted by Colchester-based NEEB Holdings suggest that two four-bedroomed houses and one three-bedroomed bungalow could be built on the site, which was last used as a builder’s yard.
“The dwellings will be designed and built by self-builders or those nominated by them to
deliver their new home to their particular specification,” says the company’s planning statement.
Plans to turn the site into a playing field were refused in 2003, but permission was granted in 2017 for the construction of five, four-bedroomed houses.
