Brightlingsea’s annual fireworks display takes place on the town Hard on Sunday, November 2.

Organised by the Colne Yacht Club with support from a host of local organisations and businesses, the display will start at 7pm and last for 15 minutes. Though there’s no admission charge, visitors are urged to bring cash to drop in to one of the many collecting buckets held by stewards.

Large crowds are expected around the Waterside area and if the area becomes too crowded, visitors may be directed towards the Promenade – where they’ll still be able to see the display.

There’ll be two bars and a barbecue open from 5.30pm with two half-hour sets from the Lost Gooseberries at 6.15pm and 7.15pm.

The roads around the Hard will be coned off for the event from 2pm, and while there will be limited parking available in the Tower Street and Oyster Tank Road car parks, and on Promenade Way, visitors are urged to walk to the event. Anyone who has parked near the Hard is asked to remove their vehicle by 8am on Sunday morning.
