The Colne Medical Centre in Brightlingsea has announced changes to its medical staff.
Dr Theo Adjetey will be leaving the Station Road practice at the end of February, followed by Dr Daniel Bateman a month later after 19 years’ service.
Dr Maria Osuji will join the team on March 1 and will replace Dr Adjetey, whose patients will be transferred to her patient list. Until a new GP is recruited to replace Dr Bateman, his patients will be reallocated to another GP list on a temporary basis.
Patients are asked not to call the practice with requests to change GP as this will be carried out automatically when a replacement is found. The centre now has a paramedic, clinical pharmacist, and physiotherapist and has recently welcomed another nurse practitioner to its team.
Appointments are available to book up to one week in advance for the GP and nurse practitioner and up to four weeks in advance with the nursing team. Same day access appointments open at 8.30am, Monday-Friday. The GP will ask patients to attend the practice if a face to face consultation is required. Late evening and weekend appointments are available via the centre extended access service with details available from reception.
All appointments are available to book online, via the NHS App or by calling the practice on 01206 302522 from 8.30am.
