All Saints’ Church will once again be filled with Christmas trees and festive music this weekend for the 21st Brightlingsea Christmas Tree Festival.
Visitors will be able to vote for their favourite decorated trees, which have been made by local groups and individuals. A host of musicians – from choirs to bell ringers – will be performing across the weekend, and there’ll also be children’s activities, refreshments including mulled wine and a well-stocked gift shop.
With parking at the church strictly limited, visitors are urged to use the free festival shuttle bus service, which picks up at St James’ Church in the town and the Fiveways Co-op store, where there is ample free parking available.
The festival is opens at 10am on both days –December 14 & 15 – with new-for-2024 late opening until 8pm on Saturday. On Sunday, the doors close at 6pm, when the festival is rounded off with communal carols.
Admission is £3.50 for adults, with under 16s going free.
