Centenarian Gwen celebrates very big birthday!

Congratulations to Brightlingsea resident Gwen Milner, who has celebrated her 100th birthday.

Family and friends joined Gwen for a birthday lunch in the Yachtsmans Arms, where she was presented with flowers by town mayor John Carr.

Earier in the day, Gwen, who still lives independently and walks most days, received a card from King Charles and a visit from members of the Cinque Port Liberty of Brightlingsea.

Originally from Bargoed in Wales, Gwen moved to Brightlingsea in 1985 and has survived her husband and son. Her extended family includes two grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
