Jeff Graham, a Brightlingsea resident for 31 years was ordained a Deacon by Roger, the Bishop of Colchester in Chelmsford Cathedral on Saturday 14th September.
Jeff will serve as a part-time, self-supporting curate at St James the Great Church on East Hill in Colchester. His ordination was watched by a large group of neighbours, friends and members of the congregation from St James’ church in Brightlingsea,
A former headmaster, Jeff is well known locally for his performances in productions by the Seaview Players – most recently, and appropriately, in The Vicar of Dibley. His wife, Catherine, is a licensed lay minister in the Brightingsea parish.
