Pupils from Harwich taking part in the celebration event

Pupils from Brightlingsea Primary School were among 365 children from nine Tendring schools who’ve taken part in a Tendring Junior Ambassadors Project this term.

The year five and six pupils took part in various cultural activity workshops with the aim of encouraging them to learn about the communities around them and the values of inclusiveness and diversity.

A celebration event at the end of the project, held in Clacton’s Princes Theatre and funded by Tendring District Council, saw the ambassadors demonstrate African singing and storytelling, Bollywood dancing, Chinese calligraphy and culture, Ukrainian themed poetry and finishing with a rendition of John Lennon’s hit song, ‘Imagine’.
