Three Brightlingsea car parks have gained Park Mark awards after passing assessments by the British Parking Association.

The town’s Victoria Place, Tower Street and Promenade Way car parks were judged on the quality of lighting, cleanliness, security measures and management.

All three car parks are operated by Tendring District Council (TDC). Mick Barry, the council’s cabinet member with responsibility for car parks, said: “We take pride in our area and services to residents and to receive these awards is a real accolade,” he said. “Residents and visitors can feel confident in using our car parks, knowing that they have a Park Mark award.”

The three local car parks are among 28 across Tendring that have gained the Park Mark award in 2024.
