Brightlingsea blues fans boost WinterFest funds

Brightlingsea WinterFest’s funds have been swelled thanks to a donation of £155 from the town’s Colne Delta Blues and Americana club.

The club raised the money with a raffle at its meeting on Friday, February 24, adding to the total of more than £4,300 generated by a host of WinterFest events across the month.

Gary Gilders, left, one of the club’s organisers, is seen here handing over the donation to WinterFest’s Dave Griffiths.

The Colne Delta Blues and Americana meets every month in Brightlingsea Community Centre and is open to all. Its next meeting is on March 24 at 7.30pm and features The Blues Highways and Oklahoma-born, Essex-based Bob Collum. Tickets can be booked here.
