Another defibrillator installed in Brightlingsea thanks to donation

The debrillator in Seaview Road

Brightlingsea First Responders have been able to fit another defibrillator in th town thanks to a donation from Wenlock Trust.

The latest cabinet – the second paid for the by the trust – has been installed on a house in Seaview Road and is available 24/7 for public use. Time and materials required to fit it were donated by Brightlingsea-based business ProLec Electrical.

A defibrillator gives a jolt of energy to the heart, which can help restore the heart’s rhythm, and get it beating normally again. This simple piece of equipment is easy to use and doesn’t require training, but it could make the difference between life and death.  If required, call 999 and the operator will supply a code which will open the cabinet.
