The Friday Art Group will be holding an exhibition of its members’ work at Brightlingsea Museum starting on Saturday, September 11 for a month. This will be the first art exhibition at the new museum and it’s hoped that it will be the first of many for the group and other local artists. 

The group  consists of 20 local amateurs who normally meet on a Friday morning at the United Church Hall on Chapel Rd. However due to the Covid-19 restrictions they have had to meet and sketch outdoors in places such as the Hard and Springmead Gardens as well as in in each other’s gardens. 

The exhibition will include a variety of subjects and mediums to suit all tastes plus a special composite picture of Brightlingsea where each artist has undertaken a small section of the larger work. Many of the works will be available to purchase at very reasonable prices.
