Nature Network plants trees and hedges

Brightlingsea Nature Network volunteers at work

The Brightlingsea Nature Network has completed a project to plant trees and hedges along the field next to All Saints’ Church.

The project – led by the network’s volunteers and aided by Brightlingsea residents – means that a new hedgerow now stretches from the Old Forge to the church.

The final planting included a yew tree, a field maple and gorse bushes – all of which will provide a green corridor and a new home for a variety of wildlife in future years.
