Please join us on Sunday 7th July at 5.30pm at St James Church Brightlingsea for Women in Harmony’s ‘Sing to Save Lives’ concert, the proceeds of which will be going to the incredible RNLI who this year commemorate 200 years of lifesaving.
The choir are extremely proud to be including in their programme some of the songs that have been written or specially arranged as part of the Choir Community/RNLI ‘Sing to Save Lives’ initiative to celebrate the RNLI’s bicentenary.
The concert is also going to be featuring performances from well-loved local sea shanty group The Motley Crew, plus a set of brand-new songs from Brightlingsea’s exciting Tiles Along The Wall Project: A musical story that has been written by Carl Simpson and Richard Spalding about the story behind the famous tiles that line the walls of All Saints Church commemorating local people lost at sea. Plus, there’ll be some rousing songs where we’ll all be joining forces!
We’re also delighted to be welcoming representatives and volunteers from our local RNLI stations who will be coming along to support the event. They will be bringing along their mobile shop with more information about how to support the RNLI and/or get involved, as well as items to purchase.
£10 for Adults, £5 for children aged 5-15 and children under 5 are free.
