Brightlingsea’s oldest buoy band, the Motley Crew marked 25 years of singing shanties and sea songs in 2024.
Over the years raised tens of thousands of pounds for the RNLI and other charities, singing for fetes, suppers, weddings, parties, regattas and more – as well as taking part the annual Harwich International Shanty Festival and leading the singing at Brightlingsea’s Blessing of the Waters event.
