Hydrotherapy sessions for stroke survivors in Brightlingsea will be able to continue thanks to a donation from a local law firm.
Solicitor Harriet Frost LLP, of John Fowlers Solicitors, handed over a cheque for £2,500 to Brightlingsea Stroke Support Services (BSSS) at its recent weekly meeting.
“This amazing donation will be spent on this year’s swimming therapy where our local stroke survivors receive support to promote their rehabilitation, health and wellbeing,” said BSSS chair Mark Wilby, who’s seen here with Ms Frost and BSSS volunteers.
He added: “We receive so much positive feedback from our stroke survivors who use this local facility, it would be a big loss to the group if we had to stop it.”
Anyone who needs help and support after suffering a stroke is welcome at BSSS meetings, which are held on Monday afternoon at the Regent Football Club, North Road, Brightlingsea between 2 – 4pm.
