Jeff Bray – who stepped down as Tendring District Council’s (TDC) chairman in April – has been appointed as the council’s cabinet member for planning.
Cllr Bray, a Conservative who represents Little Clacton, was appointed by council leader Neil Stock, who previously held the planning portfolio, but now needs more time to devote to the council’s work on Freeports.
