A Brightlingsea woman who caught Covid-19 last October and has been suffering with long covid symptoms since is looking to contact others in the town who may have been affected.

Lisa Brown had “really bad, flu-like symptoms” and lost her sense of smell and taste but wasn’t hospitalised when she contracted the virus. Since then she has been suffering from extreme exhaustion. “The tiredness is terrible,” she said.

Now she’s looking to set up a Facebook page for sufferers of long covid – the term given to cover a wide range of post-covid symptoms. “Sometimes it feels like you’re on your own,” said Lisa, who can be contacted via email at [email protected].
