Jan tells a ghostly tale at the museum

Local author and storyteller Jan Williams will be talking about her new book, The Ghost of Pendlesham Priory, at two special Brightlingsea WinterFest events taking place in the town’s museum.

Jan’s story is set in Suffolk in the reign of Henry VIII and includes a haunting, treasure, a fire, a lovable family and adorable pets. Two modern day children visit the ruins of a convent and meet the young girl with sad eyes who tells them what happened to her in the convent.

You can hear more about the book on Saturday, March 5. The day after, Jan will be back in the museum, hoping to hear from Brightlingsea residents with their own tales of local ghosts and hauntings. Both events are free and run from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
